I have done a few layouts recently…but my volume of pages is no where near what it was a few years ago. This was highlighted when I ordered Shutterfly books this week of the kids’ pages from ages 0-5. I was definitely scrapping a lot more when they were younger. I want to get back to that…I’m hoping that creating these books will help. They are each about 80 pages so I can’t wait to see what they look like in print!
Here is what I’ve done recently:

Today starts a 4 day weekend for me…yea!!! Preston and I are off now to his field trip…watching Alexander and the Terrible Horrible Very Bad Day at the Dallas Children’s Theater. Should be fun!

Today has been a great day!
We started the fall soccer season today with Maddy’s game this morning

This year they have goalies and have to follow the offsides rule and are on a much larger field…it’s going to be an interesting season!
The kids enjoyed orange slices after the game

Preston’s game is tonight so we took advantage of the long break between games and worked on something that we’ve needed to do for awhile…GET PRESTON OFF TRAINING WHEELS!!
Ready for the challenge

Maddy came along to show him how it’s done

And after a few shaky starts…HE’S OFF!

I’m so very proud of him…mission accomplished!
We still have stopping and turning to work on, but he’ll get there.
Now off to soccer game #2…Go Wildcats!

The school year has started and, as always, I can’t believe how big the kids are getting!
We finished up school shopping on Sunday and I had a great time spoiling the kiddos a bit.
Preston got some Toms…too stinking cute!

Maddy got feathers…and most of the Justice store!

Preston actually started school 2 weeks ago, so he is very glad that Maddy’s having to get up with him now!

And he humored me today by posing for pictures again on Maddy’s 1st day…

Aaaannnnddd….she’s done with pictures!

2011-12 school year is off to a good start!

It’s official…summer break is over! And I will regret saying this in a week or so, I’m sure but I’m glad to have some routine back into our lives.
Here is some catch-up on the rest of our summer, then 1st day of school post to follow

Someone reminded me that I haven’t posted in a while
So I thought it was time to share some recent pictures.

And today we finally got to have Maddy’s friend party, with 10 girls at my house! It was quite loud, but they are all so cute and fun. They had a great time and a few are sleeping over and finally settling in to watch some TV. They plan to stay up all night but I think that may have been too lofty a goal

And check out this AWESOME cake by Carolyn:

Wow! It was a big hit!
Happy birthday to the two most fun, adorable, loving kids I could ever wish for. I am a very lucky mommy!
