Maddy is done with Kindergarten---SO hard to believe she will be a first-grader next year!  The end of the year was definitely bittersweet.  She has made some great friends and they are all pretty much going to different schools next year...she'll miss them a lot (and I'll miss the great moms I've met!!)

The end of the year kicked off with an adorable graduation performance on their next to last day...

And her last day was a half day with pizza, then off to a classmate's house for a pool party

Maddy had her ballet recital this week and was amazing.  She's never been more gorgeous!

And I have some photos to share too, but my camera has just died on me.  SLR may be in my future sooner than expected...TOTALLY not in the budget though!

Don't know why, but this past week seemed to drag on forever.  I think it's because a couple people at work took off on Wednesday for vacation, so it felt like Friday way too early.

But the weekend is here...and along with it some rain.  Seems to be the pattern in our weather lately.

I'm enjoying my day today by just hanging out with the kids.  No big plans...coffee and hot cocoa this morning and we have a few craft projects to do today.  No crowds, maximum time with the kids--couldn't have planned a better day!

Maddy brought a present home on Thursday for me...

So cute...and I just happened to get off work early that day so I got to pick her up from school as she carried out my gift wrapped in tissue paper.  Feeling pretty lucky to have such wonderful kids!!

This past weekend was my last chance to see Silvia pregnant...next time I see them they will be the proud parents of 2 cute babies. So hard to believe it's just around to corner.

No pictures to share (boo me!) but Saturday was a blast...Matt & Alli hosted their first annual crawfish boil.  (well, we're trying to convince them to make it an annual event because we all had so much fun)

This picture's not too far off though, plus some corn, potatoes, and sausage...and Alli's delicious red beans and rice...mmmm!

And Sunday we finally got to celebrate Maddy's birthday with her friends.  She had a gymnastics party and had such a wonderful time...the kids worked up a sweat and then came out for cake.  The lighting in the gym was not conducive to photos (at least not photos taken by me...so I have some cute cake pictures but the actual gymnastics pics are very limited :-(

This last one is Maddy and one of her best friends finding out they will be going to the Jonas Bros concert together in June...think they're a little excited??

And lucky for me my weekend hasn't ended...I have today (Monday) off...yeah!!  It's gross and rainy, but I'll take it...it's nice to have a day to recoup after a busy weekend.  In a few minutes I'm off to eat lunch with my fabulous aunt at a yummy French restaurant!!

It's always too long since last post and I'm left with so many pictures that it's hard to choose what to put in the blog.  We've been busy lately, so here goes...

 

 

 

Madeleine celebrated her SIXTH birthday this month!  She is growing up so fast...it's amazing to watch. 

Her day was very special...cupcakes at school with her friends, then Auntie (Aunt Carol) picked her up from school and took her to Build-a-Bear (see "Bearie" in the picture) and totally spoiled her!  And we finished up with dinner and presents with Bubbe and Papi Ken.  She got some cute outfits, Barbie Disney Princess collection, an iPod shuffle, and tickets to see her crush (she's 6!  help me!!!) at the Jonas Brother's concert.

She'll celebrate with her friends later this month with a gymnastics party.  Lucky girl!

I had some fun recently when I flew to New York to visit Robin.  Flight delays cut into the trip a little but we had a great time! 

I didn't take nearly enough pictures, but this is the view from her 36th floor apartment. 

We also discovered a great new (to us) store called Uniqlo where I scored some skinny jeans and a few other cute items.

Maddy had an Easter party at school and looked too cute for words.  They walked from school to a nearby park where they played on the playground, hunted eggs, played games, and ate snacks.  The forecast called for rain but we lucked out with gorgeous weather.

And lastly, this past weekend we went to a family reunion with my mom's side of the family.  We shared a cabin with Ben & Silvia and the kids.  Silvia looks SO adorable with her pregnant belly!  And despite what she blogs about she looks amazing for having twins hanging out in there!

The kids had a great time with the family they knew and meeting new cousins...
